Ham & Gruyere French Toast


  • Bread Dumplings
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 C Heavy Cream
  • 2 T Vanilla Extract
  • 2 t cinnamon
  • 2 T butter
  • 1/2 Deli Sliced Ham
  • 2 C Shredded Smoked Gruyere


  • Heat butter in a skillet.
  • Whisk together eggs, cream, vanilla and cinnamon.
  • Dunk dumplings in the mixture and and fry until golden brown turning once while frying.
  • Top French Toast slices with ham then as much cheese as is your preference.
  • Bake at 375 degrees.
  • Smoked cheese does not melt the same way as non smoked cheese, so if you prefer a creamier melt, feel free to choose any other kind of cheese!
