Ingredients
- 1 Bag of Mini Potato Dumplings
- 12 C of Water
- 1/3 C of baking Soda
- 1 Egg
- 1 T of Cold Water
- Kosher Salt
- Mustard or Cheese Sauce for Dipping
Steps
- Line a cookie sheet with foil and spray with non stick spray.
- Spread the bag of minis out on the tray while your water boils.
- Add 12 C of water to a pot and bring to a boil.
- When the water is boiling, reduce the water to a simmer and slowly add the baking soda. Use caution it will cause the water to boil over when you are adding it.
- When the baking soda is combined, add the mini potato dumplings to the water, about a cup at a time.
- When they have boiled for about a minute or so, use a strainer to remove them from the water and spread them back on the cookie sheet.
- Repeat until all the dumplings have been boiled.
- Preheat your oven to 425 Degrees
- Whisk your egg with the tablespoon of water.
- Brush all the boiled dumplings with the egg wash.
- Sprinkle all the dumplings generously with salt.
- Bake in the oven about 15 minutes or until the dumplings are a deep golden brown color.
- Serve with your favorite mustard or cheese sauce for dipping.
