Jon's Mom's Mini Potato Dumpling Recipe

Directions:

Remove dumplings from box and microwave on defrost for 10 minutes.

On floured cutting board, cut each dumpling into 4 pieces and allow to rise for 10 minutes to 1 hour depending on firmness desired (shorter rise = more firm).

Bring 2 quarts of water and one level teaspoon of salt to boil in a 3 quart saucepan.

Form dumplings into desired shape and add carefully to boiling water.

Stir slowly for 2 minutes.

When water returns to boil, cover and boil gently for 12 minutes.

In a frying pan melt 1/2 to 1 stick of butter, reduce heat to medium and fry 1 cup of bread crumbs to a golden brown.

Remove dumplings with slotted spoon and place in dish. Pour melted butter and fried bread crumbs on dumplings and serve.
